Hey Everyone, I am Reema.
And we will talk about my childhood.
According to my parents and my birth certificate I was born in a small town in India.
I as a child was very bright and disciplined, loved by my teachers and relatives.
Apparently, I was that child who was being portrayed as a child whom every parent wants.
All my friend’s parents would give my example when it comes to grade, behaviour, and other Co-curricular activities.
Growing up, was not hard form me. I was the most pampered child.
Btw I have a younger sister, who was always asked to learn from me .
When I was in college , all my friends had boyfriend or girlfriend , in fact I was also being approached by a few , but I remained single.
I was not dump , I was the most wanted girl in the school “The hot chick” as classified by my friend, but I did not find anyone of my kind to consider as a boyfriend.
I was also a good secret keeper. So, good that, girls used to say they come to my home for sleepovers when they go with their boyfriend, but I was the girl who did not hide anything from my parents.
I loved my life and now love it even more , you will get to know why and how as you would go on reading .
I was a good student, I got into a good engineering college. Those 4 years were fun, I left my parents’ house, I was staying in hostel. I did have a wonderful college life, made some good friends.
I got an awesome offer from a renowned IT company. I started working in there. As usual I got ample of recognition as the best employee. Everyone liked my hardworking nature.
As time passed, my parents started asking if I have anyone in my life with whom I want to share my whole life with?
I as an obedient daughter said “No”, and my parents started searching a groom for me.
My standards were very high. I kept rejecting guys.
You could relate to the pain of typical Indian parents who had an unmarried beautiful daughter who is in her early 30’s, especially when you hail from a “Marwari family”.
Finally, after rejecting like 53 guys I met a guy who had a broad mentality.
I said my parents he cleared round one, Hahahha means telephonic conversation.
I am up for round 2, which means face to face meeting .
yeah your heard me right, to all those Non-Indians who are reading this, this is how Indian arranged marriages happen, first parents shortlist candidates , then the girl decides if he wants to met him in person , then both girl and the guy talk in person, if they feel compatible, both side’s parents talk and give approval for marriage .
Prakash was the name of the guy whom I shortlisted, since he passed round 1, for round 2 he along with his entire family was invited to my home .
To know what happened on that day stay tuned …
